Florence is a city of culture: Culture of the past with infinite examples of the Renaissance splendor; culture of the present showcased in exhibitions of contemporary painting, sculpture, cinema, and fashion. The Koinè Center is headquartered in the historic center of Florence, between Piazza Duomo and Piazza Santa Croce.

The center offers to lodge in family houses, private or shared apartments, hotel rooms or residences, camping, etc.

Koiné offers courses of diverse duration, levels and teaching methods. By the end of the course, each student will receive a certificate. The group courses of Italian can last 20 or 30 hours per week. The classes are oriented to the spoken language of Italian. The method includes active participation in conversations, dialogues, games... Individual intensive classes, combined or not with group ones, are also offered.

Students receive a monthly program of activities and excursions, a small guide with useful addresses and a cultural list of exhibitions, concerts and other events. The students also receive a card with which they obtain free entrance to the discos and reduced prices in bars and theaters.
