Beschreibung
The "Caffè Culturale" Center is in the heart of Tropea, in a beautiful typical building. The lessons are developed outdoors in classrooms or, in the terrace. The school has modern video equipment with a huge screen where Italian classic films can be seen. In the multimedia room there are a lot of didactic tapes and also a library, available to the students. Students can also use the computers with Internet access.
Unterkunft
The student can choose between a studio or a single or double room in an apartment. The typical studio has a big room, with kitchenette and bath, while the apartments have two or three rooms, a kitchen and one or two baths (the kitchen and the baths are to share). Most of the apartments are located in the center of Tropea and have terrace with view to the sea or the hills of the city.

Unterricht
The groups have a maximum of 6 people by level. The first day, the participants who already have some knowledge of the language will take a written and oral exam in order to find them the best level to their language knowledge. There are six 6 levels. The teaching is based on the direct method, that means, using only the Italian language to exercise the oral comprehension and to develop language sensitivity. The lessons have two hours of grammar per day, with the corresponding exercises. The structure of the Italian is transmitted so that the student learns to write and to speak correctly. The following lessons will be dedicated to the different aspects of the communication, with the purpose of giving as soon as possible the selfconfidence in the use of the Italian language.

Aktivitäten
Around Tropea there are colorful towns, orchards and olive groves, where it is possible to make strolls and to admire really interesting attractions. It is possible to make splendid panoramic excursions in mountain-bike, with the own bicycle or using those that the institute provide to the students. The free time can be enjoyed bathing or resting in the splendid beach of Tropea, that is only 10 minutes on foot away from the institute. Another alternative is to visit - in boat the calm sandy bays of the environs of Tropea. Several times per week, the institute organizes collective activities, celebrations, suppers, excursions to the coast or the country, to visit, for example, a small city of Gerace mountain and the natural park of Aspromonte.
