Tropea is one of the most beautiful cities of Calabria.
It is located in the south of the Tyrrhenian coast.
The virgin white sand beaches between small grottos
are interrupted by valleys and hills full of fruit trees,
onion fields, Mediterranean vegetables and other plants.
In addition to the clean and uncontaminated sea, the
same city offers a fascinating historical and artistic
profile, thanks to its aristocratic houses with impressive
entrances with frescos of important artists and diverse
old churches. The school is located in the historical
center of Tropea, the Palazzo Barons, constructed in
the 14th century, and has a reception, three areas of
classes, a reading room, and room with access to the
Internet and a secretariat room. The school is surrounded
by old palaces and churches.
Unterkunft
Villa Dante School offers lodging in shared and private
apartments. Students apartments are available near the
school and the beach. All of the have kitchen, a room,
bath and balcony. There is alternative lodging in single
or double rooms.
Unterricht
There are five levels in small groups from 3 to 5 students.
The teaching method concentrates in the conversation
and is complemented with grammar, Italian culture and
Literature. Students learn to listen, speak, read and
write. The objective is that the students learn Italian
by seeing their improvements. The first day the students
take a test to determine their level, so that the learning
groups are homogenous.
Aktivitäten
Tropea is one of the most popular holidays places of
Italy, offers white sand beaches and opportunities to
practice diverse sports. The Italian courses can be
combined with sailing, surfing or diving courses. Villa
Dante School organizes excursions to the famous "Costa
degli Dei", to the National Museum of Reggio Calabria,
to Taormina, to the Etna volcano, Eolie islands and
to other wonderful landscapes.
