In Rome even the stones talk, and they can speak about centuries of history and breath-taking art, but by listening to them it also becomes much easier to understand the language of Italians today as the modern Romans speak the kind of Italian that is closest to current standards and television pronunciation. The Est Ovest school is located in a 19th century building in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from the Roman Forum and the Coliseum. The school works in a historic building with frescos ceilings. In the summer the classrooms have full air-conditioning.

The school offers private lodging in youth hostel or hotel; rooms in private flats may also be available.

Unterricht
Intensive courses are ideal for those who wish to combine their studies with one short stay in Rome or prefer a complete immersion in the language to learn Italian faster. The extensive ones are designed for those who live or study in Rome and prefer to attend only class hours per week. The groups are very small, with not more than seven or eight students. The school offers directly special courses of art and Literature with programs destined to the learning of the language. The didactic approach includes a balanced integration of the communicative and grammar approaches. It gives equal emphasis to the required activities to learn to speak, to understand and to organize a coherent conversation in Italian. The present language used is taught daily to work and to communicate.

Aktivitäten
The school organizes guided visits to the main sites of artistic interest in Rome and its environs, as much as trips of a day to the sea, dinners and tours in the heart of Rome.
