Beschreibung
Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance and the Italian
language. Dante Alighieri wrote the Divine Comedy in a
language derived from the Latin. That’s why the
cult Florentine dialect was chosen to be the common language
for all the Italian territory. To study in Florence today
means to learn the Italian language free of the influence
of the regional dialects in a city that is also open to
the most modern cultural and artistic avant-garde. The
school is located in the heart of Florence, the characteristic
district of Piazza Santa Croce. From the classrooms’
windows, decorated with beautiful frescos of the Palace
Venerosi Pesciolini, it can be enjoyed on one side the
Palazzo Vecchio and on the other, the Piazza Peruzzi.
Unterkunft
The school offers single and double rooms with breakfast
or half board, 1 or 2 rooms apartments, and single and
double rooms in two or three stars hotel,.
Unterricht
The school uses the method of direct education, but
also considers the diverse Didactics trends, that search
a solid grammar base. The objective of this method is
the oral and written communication. Courses do not have
more than 10 students and are divided in six levels
and two programs: training and specialization. The training
course is divided in three levels (elementary, intermediate
and superior) and allows the students to reach the basic
level, the level of communicative ability decided by
the European Council. At the end of the Program the
students are able to express themselves correctly in
written and oral Italian. The specialization Program
is divided in three levels and allows the students to
have a complete knowledge of the language. Generally
each level corresponds to a standard course of four
weeks. It is possible to attend a course a maximum of
24 weeks to complete the training program.
Aktivitäten
The school offers afternoon cultural courses to improve
the knowledge of the students: Italian for business,
Italian fashion and design, history of the art, Italian
wines and cuisine, politics, economy and cinema. Monthly,
there is a rich and interesting program of activities:
cultural trips to Florence and its environs, parties
and folkloric, exhibitions, wine tasting, evening searches
of the treasure and evenings out.
