Health

Health advice: There are not particular sanitary problems in Italy but you must be careful with mosquitoes and the sunstroke. Although the hospitals are over-populated, they are completely free. You can also choose a private clinic, although they are very expensive.

Health insurance: Citizens of the European Union must ask in their country for the E111 form to be able to benefit from the services of the Italian health system. The non-communitarians should inquire on the agreements of Italy with their countries in the matter of health; and in this case, to take a health insurance which covers their medical expenses. If needed, the foreigners must pay the sanitary services according to the prices of the Italian State.
