The standard course of Italian includes 30 lessons (of 60 minutes each one) per week, in groups of a maximum of 10 students. The first day, the teacher evaluates the students to include them in one of the four levels (from beginner to advanced). Modern communicative methods of language-teaching are used, but also the traditional ones if they are appropriate. In all levels, the objective is that the student manages to speak. For that, lots of activities are made, including grammar, conversation, analysis and discussion of literary texts and newspaper articles, listening comprehension, work in group, lexical and phonetic development and projection of Italian films. The school is host for the preparation of exams suchas as the CILS of the University of Siena.
