Description
Lingua & Art is a training center of the language,
the Italian arts and the culture for foreign students.
The academy is located in the heart of Florence, near
the Ponte Vecchio and the Palazzo Pitti, in the district
called "Oltranto", a community of traditional
craftsmen.
Lodging
Lodging in single or double rooms, with breakfast or
half board or without them, are available.
Academics
Courses include grammar lessons followed by conversation
sessions to give the student an good lexicon while the
daily language acquires fluidity using, and dominion
of the language and its rules. The classes do not surpass
the ten students per group. The guides and other material
resources allow the complete, interactive and entertained
study of the Italian language. The group courses can
be regular or intensive. The intensive classes last
one week, four hours of group classes in the morning
and two hours of private lessons. Also it is possible
to take all the courses in individual way or to take
more individual classes.
Activities
The academy offers to the student the possibility to
be in touch with the Italian culture, through the participation
and interaction in cultural activities. The student
can take advantage of the school resources to improve
his comprehension of the Italian culture. The school
has a well provided library and includes a Italian films.
It is possible also to play the piano and the guitar.
Every week the school offers guided visits to discover
well-known and hidden aspects of Florence and visits
to the most beautiful cities of Tuscany. In these trips
participate history of the art experts.
