Description
Ravenna is a small city which still reflects the romantic
period of its Roman origins. It is 8 km away from the
sea. The school is located in the heart of the historical
center. The students can consult the library and have
access to the Internet and fax service. There is another
seat of the school in Bagno di Romagna, also in this region,
a small town well-known as a spa.
Lodging
The school offers lodging in a family house, apartments
or hotels.
Academics
The school uses the method of direct teaching but it also
considers the diverse existing tendencies in Didactics
that search a solid grammar base. The objective is the
oral and written communication. The courses do not have
more than 10 students. The courses are divided in six
levels and two programs: one of training and the other
one of specialization. The training course is divided
in three levels (elementary, intermediate and superior)
that allows the students to reach the level of communicative
skill decided by the Council of Europe. At the end of
the Program the students are able to express themselves
correctly in Italian. The specialization Program is divided
in three levels and allows the students to have a complete
dominion of the language. Generally each level corresponds
to a standard course of four weeks. It is possible to
attend a course by a maximum of 24 weeks to complete the
training program.
Activities
The school organizes in Ravenna several activities next
to the sea, in or outside the class, dinner for the students,
an excursion of a day every two weeks and guided visits
to main monuments. In Bagno di Romagna diverse sports
can be practiced such as horse-riding, mountain bike,
trekking, fishing, gymnastics, and golf.
