Description
The School is located in the centric district of Santo
Spirito of Florence, where the workshops of the Florentine
artists and craftsmen still survive and the architectonic
and social aspect remain intact. In front of the school,
there is a cybercafé where the students have free
access to the Internet.
Lodging
Lodging is organized in private, centric apartments
with kitchen and carefully selected by the school. It
is possible to choose between individual and double
rooms.
Academics
The teaching is based on an activation method, from
the first level, of all the communicative language skills
: reading, speaking and writing; based on three phases
1) initial automatization of structures, 2) systematization
of grammar, 3) lexicon structures. The course consists
of 4 daily classes 5 days a week (20 classes per week).
The classes lasts 50 minutes and have a maximum of 12
students. There are 6 different levels from beginners
to advanced. Within the cultural program, "Seminars
of Culture" are offered that give a social and
cultural vision of the Italian reality.
Activities
Like a complement to the normal courses, there are culture
classes, composed of 10 individual classes where History
of the Art or Italian for business is taught. These
courses require a level of intermediate Italian. Also
specific courses of Art and Music are offered.
